Can anyone please tell me what you think my car might be worth? It's a 2001 Titanium Silver 325 CI Convertible with 60k miles. Its is very good condition, inside and out. I am thinking of trading it in on something else but for some reason I don't trust what the dealerships are offering me. Also, I am in a lease, do I have to drive it till the end of the lease or can I trade out of it early? Thanks for any help/recommendations you can give me!!

It's worth blue book depending on who you sell it to (dealer, private party, etc.) My guess is 18-20k, although I have NO IDEA what it's worth. Trading out of the lease early is usually not worth it and very expensive.

If you trade in your lease, you will need to pay the entire
lease schedule.

Unless you go back to the same dealer who leased you
the car, and they're willing to void certain portions of the deal
you signed.

Here's another idea. Go to BMW dealer websites and search their inventory.
I just found a red 2002 325 325 cic w/ 39,000 miles, steptronic, premium, heated seats for $34K.

I was just at my dealer and they had a 2004 330 vert w/ sport pkg for $39,500. My car was just under $50K (list--I paid around 48) new-premium, cold weather, parktronic, steptronic, no sport pkg, however. This gives me hope for next spring when I try to sell my car when the 335 comes out.

Those cars sold by the dealer are not only in immaculate condition, but they are certified as well with a 6yr 100k warranty. This can easily drop the price on a private sale at least 5k and thats if you can find a buyer. Trade in value is usually even lower.

Thank you for all the advise. I went to a couple of Acura dealers this weekend and was offered $16,500 from one and $18,500 from the other. I was going to try and trade it in before the 60k service was due but I guess its only fair to go ahead and do it? Thanks again, you all have been very helpful!!

How much did KBB.com say? Are you planning to trust a used
car dealer, over a blue book?

Interesting stuff, rather than run a 30-second kbb.com search,
you drove to two different dealers and asked used car salesmen
(whose sole mission in life is to separate you from your money)
how much your car is worth.

Best of luck.

Of course I checked kbb first. I was in the market for a new Acura and needed to know what they were going to offer for trade in value and didn't intend on taking any less than what the car was worth. I ended up getting $19,700. That was the higher range for that model, and I knew what service was going to have to be done on it. (Brakes, oil chg., 60k service)

Cool, so you picked an Acura? Which one? How does it compare
to your old beemer?

My bro picked up a Lexus GS, couldn't convince him to get a 545.
