Are GE warranties adequate?

Looking at different warranties as my factory warranty is about to expire. Wonder if anybody here could share their experience after purchasing A GE warranty? How close was it to the factory warranty? Thanks Bob T.--------2001 330ci------------- ?

I had a GE platinum extended warranty on another car a few years ago. A lot seems to depend on the dealer..it was my impression that they replaced a lot of parts that may not have been really necessary. As I understand it, they bill GE when the work is performed. This particular dealer seemed to think that this warranty was a "cash cow" for their service department. The warranty itself was good though....

GE warranties are good, I had may vale cover gasket and the oil pipe line replace parts alone $145.00 labor $207.00. My deductible $50.00. You never know what could happen?
Get the 4 Star covers just about everything. including Electronics/Power TECH. worth the money.
