Local service shop, not BMW dealer, says BMW dealer priced the fluid alone to him at $184 for the 328i, I believe 5 quarts. Anyone had experience with using some other synthetic fluid like Amsol or Red oil? This mechanic says he would just not change it at 115,000 miles.
