Has anyone noticed one of their windows rolling up slow compared to the driver side window?

I'm asking b/c my passenger side window seems to roll up noticeably slower than my driver's side. Is this how all other e46 are? i mean is this the norm or is this some beginning stage that that window unit mechanism will fail?

That has happened with my driver and passenger windows at times over the course of nearly seven years. Thankfully, I'm on my original window regulators (motors). Clean out the tracks with some rubber cleaner and you should see the windows return to the same speed. Sometimes mine have gotten so dirty that the window will stop halfway cuz of the resistance....cleaning it out and putting some rubber treatment in there makes it roll like new again....at least that would be the first step before taking it in or doing work inside the door.

I would think it is the window mechanism because the same thing happens with mine and the passenger window sounds wierd as it is going up. I have yet to look at it but it started recently so visit your dealer before the warranty runs out.

The 2003 Service and Warranty Information indicates that the brake fluid needs to be replace every two years(from production date). Also the coolant needs to be replace every four years(from production date). You may want to check your 2002 booklet.
