I have been trying to use my laptop on the 04' 325i. It was suggested to use the flashlight charger socket with the auxiliary power adapter. I have the car-to-laptop adapter ready. When I use the flashlight socket, the power output is not stable and the laptop is only charged when the it's off (i.e., when I turned on the laptop, the power seems to be cut off and the laptop is back on battery). Also, the screen is kind of blinking, which evidentally results from the unstable power output from the socket. On the other hand, when I use the cigar socket, the output is stable. I was wondering if it is due to some defect power adapter. Also, the guide of the auxiliary power adapter (P/N 82 11 0 004 073) says that it cannot be used for anything with more than 3 A, and suggests using the "vehicle's main socket". I was wondering where this "main socket" is. Thanks.
