Battery Replacement

I think my battery is dying,should I replace it with an original or should I get an equivalent from pep boys or auto zone?Any suggestions will be appreciated.

My opinion is replace it with a GOOD QUALITY equivalent, which is far less money and will last just as long. Big Daddy got 10+ years out of a BMW battery. But you and I got only 4 years out of our OEM batteries. Just make sure it has the vent kit and is sized to fit your car.

You won't have to get a reset code for the radio, but you will lose all your radio presets and the time.

I did get over ten years out of the BMW battery in my 91 318is, but only five years out of the BMW battery in the M roadster. I replaced both with vented perfect fit Delcos.

I recommend Interstate. They are a little more expensive, but very good quality. I know this because I have some family in the auto shop business and that's what they tell me. I put an Interstate in my X5 as a replacement and it fit fine and had the vent in the right spot.
