Beep, Beep, Beep.

Ok here is a wierd one.
Have been driving my car since spring.
In the last week it has started to beep at me, 3 times.
Usually after starting to drive it for the first time, about 30 seconds into the ride, but sometime later in my drive.
I think it beeps 3 times but there is no check engine light on.
Its a 99 328ic. e36.

i have an intermittent [spurious] brake light failure warning on the computer display. every so often, when it is displaying, i also get the triple beep. i'm pretty sure that the beeps are to remind you to look at the display. so check that anyway.

There is no warning light on either the dash or the obc.
Once it beeps it doesn't do it again.
Its not really a beep. It like a nice tone.

it's called the memo feature, on the right hand side of your obc there is a button that says memo, press it and you will notice the symbol go either on or off next to the time, make sure it's off.
