Bent Wheel

I was driving down a narrow country road last night and had to swerve to miss a truck who was swerving to miss a dog (yes, I live in gods country). Bottom line, I hit the side of the road and have bent the inside of my front right wheel. No tire damage, but the wheel has a small bend in it.
My question is: Can my wheel be fixed (it is A 2002 330i with the sport package- the Mwheels").
I've heard of people who can straighten wheels.
Anyone know of someone in the Atlanta area??
Thank you thank you

I have has a bent rim repaired, cost was $100.00. In repairing them there is a risk that they will break so you have to decide if you want to spend the money and take the risk.

Depends on how serious the dent is. Remember that your wheel is spinning
very fast and under tremendous strains, so safety is key.

Definitely avoid highway speeds until it's repaired or replaced.

And as Big Daddy notes, replacement is probably the safest bet.

If your wheels are big and expensive, id take the risk of it getting repaired, but if its a stock rim id just source a new one or second hand one.
I aggre with William330 "replacement is probably the safest bet"

Depending how bent it is, you can take it to a tire shop and have them heat it back to shape. I had a friend bend a rim and for $25 they used a torch to heat the rim and hammered it back into shape. It worked pretty well, although I'm not sure how well it held up in the longterm.

I would just replace the rim altogether... I don't think it's worth taking the chances of having the rim break... good luck with your repair though, hope it goes well for you

A blowtorch and hammer on a $40,000+ vehicle? Sheesh, just spend the $350:

The wheel usually is not on the car when the repair is made, at least that how it's done in the inner city here. Taking a blowtorch and hammer on a $350 rim sounds like a worthy gamble, on the 40k car, well heh, it depends on the type of repair. [hihi]

Besides our cars are not worth 40k anymore, I know mine is more in the 20-25k range, so I guess it can be treated accordingly. [driving]

Maybe, I just pictured a rim all burnt up and hammered to hell. [burnout]
