I always use a turn signal. I hate those that do not. It is very annoying to wait before pulling out then discovering the moron failed to signal.
Ditto

Lets just say "Morons" dont use their signals, regardless as to vehicle.

Agreed. However, I usually wait anyways in case the person signalling is some moron who is just driving with their turn signal on and has no intention of turning - I've pulled out of drives before when the oncoming car with its turn signal on almost hit me because he/she wasn't turning.

I do get upset when people don't signal... But I don't think you need to signal when there is no one around. I feel that when people don't use signals, and get in front of you, it feels like they are cutting you off. People using they're cell phones are the worst!!!

Good point! I too make sure I make eye contact before I pull out in front of someone!

I like how Mercedes makes the turn signal blink three times if you just tap it. Helps with visibility.

I also hate red turn signals. They're usually on American or American made cars. It's just retarded. Especially when someone just taps the turn signal once. It's so hard to tell if they're gonna turn or if they just have a busted tail light.

I'm in complete agreement...in fact have even been known to scream the word !!!SIGNAL!!! to offenders[rolleyes] ...my version of "road rage"[:X]
[:D] I do the same thing, with the exception that my arms are moving violently in the air pointing to their turn signals while I shout at them. I also have a nast habit of NOT letting people attempting get in front of me when the don't signal (you know, the person trying to creep over into your lane). Got your signal on? 'Cmon over!

I use turn signals 90% of the time... even when comming out of my driveway or making a turn at night. Times when I do not use them is when I feel like a "real driver" and start going from lane to lane passing cars..... they become hassle and a health risk. [fake]

I usually signal when I feel I need to. Usually, if I am going to make a right turn, I generally do not signal (as nobody else really needs to know if I'm making a turn or not), but if I feel I should signal, then I will. For left turns, I always signal unless there are no cars behind and no on-coming cars, in which case I just make the turn.

I usually signal 95% percent of the time, unless there are no other cars around or I don't feel the need to (i.e my neighborhood, small backroads, etc.) Other than that I am pretty good about it.

Actually, I yell at people like you who don't signal when making a right turn. Granted they can't hear me since my/your window is usually rolled up, but it pisses me off royally nonetheless. Reason being is I may be a pedestrian trying to figure out if you're gonna go straight or turn right so I know if it's safe to cross the street, or I may be trying to make a right turn myself and wondering if you're going to go straight or make a turn so I can pull out myself. It's freaking right next to your steering wheel. I don't even have to take my hand off teh wheel to signal. Is it that hard to obey the law and be courteous at the same time?

i used to never signal.. but got wiser and i do it most of the time now. (mom yelling at me while being a permit driver helped a great deal i suppose.. [fake] )

i always signal when i'm making a 90 degree right turn to let those behind me know to back off, and i'll be turning. it's the worst to have some guy stop in the middle of the road w/ no sig, just to turn right. and if i run into the idiot? i'll be the one getting the ticket!!

i also have a thing against those sitting in a left turn lane with the signals on. i mean, yea yer stopped at red in a left turn lane, why do you have to keep flahsing that amber thing at me, at night to tell me that you'll turn? so i turn mine off when i get settled in the lane.

otherwise, "you have blinker for a reason, it won't kill you to use it", is my motto

No, you're right, it's not hard to signal...very little effort on my part. But if I am making a right turn, I don't really need to warn anybody (especially if it's a designated right turn lane). Even if it's for the pedestrians, they have the right of way, so I have to stop for them. My rule of thumb is that if I am going to slow down or stop other cars behind me or if I really need to warn cars ahead of me, then I will signal. Otherwise, I just make the turn.
I'm not a bad driver. You should see the NY/NYC drivers that I have to deal with several times a week where my school is...they are truly horrible drivers...many of them should definitely not be on the road.

[:D] I bet the NY/NYC drivers are saying that about NJ drivers. [:D]

It's really two different styles of driving. In NJ it's a little more laid back. I used to be from NYC (oh, 15 years ago) and I view it like this:

NJ: Don't really need to be aggressive to get where you are going. Could be more of a
defensive driver.

NY: Need to be an aggressive driver or you'll never make it to the next lane. [:)] You have
to be decisive or you'll cause an accident, but need to be defensive at the same time.
For cabbies ... that's a different story ... they're just plain bad!

My 2 cents anyway ...

EELADE
