Looking for some help. Have a 1990 325is. Has the four (4) position Heater Control Knob. Last night I turned it from position #3 to #4, a short time later I turned it back to a lower setting and the Blower Motor quit. Now the blower will only come on when in position #4, all other selections the blower is off. I have checked the appropriate fuse. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

There is a little control board that is located inside the housing for the fan itself. These have a tendency to go bad and require replacing, typically symptoms like you are describing is an indicator of this.

Just looked it up, BMW calls it a resistor. I BELIEVE the part number is;
64 11 1 375 754
