Blue Convertible Top Darker?

I'm curious, has the blue top for the 3-series convertible been changed slightly over the past two years?

I was looking at two brochures, and it seemed as if the top color is now a little darker than before.

Yeah...I really think it is much darker. We had an old blue 325 cabrio (white & blue)..and the top was very blue.

On my 2004 330cic...I wanted the blue top, but I think it really just looks like black now. IMO, it looked much better when it was bluer....just my 2 cents.

What year was the 325 you mentioned?

Did you end up with the blue top for your 330cic?

When I said old...I really meant old. It was a 1989 325 convertilble. It was Alpine white with full blue leather and the blue top. I think it was such a beautiful car....a typical late 80's BMW mechanical & electrical nightmare...but it was so beautiful.

I got the black top for 2004 330cic. For some reason BMW stopped offering the blue top on white and many other colours. It seems like the blue top is now only offered for blue cars, or darker cars. I still think white with blue looks timeless.

When does your cic come in? What packages did you get? Are you excited? I feel like buying up many 3 series, because I am so upset and disgusted with what the new 3 series and M3 is going to look like. The current 3 series is so great..it really is the ONLY real looking BMW on the road!!! It is sad enough that the hot 5 series was ruined, and the 7 series....and the new 6, Z4 and X3 all look odd, and very "un-BMW"...in my opinion. What is BMW doing??? Old BMW styling, please come back. Can someone send Bangle to a far, far away place!!!

I can't wait to get it -- hopefully by the 1st week in August. I ordered the 330cic in steel blue with gray interior and blue top, Premium and sport packages, and xenon lights.

I saw a parked 2001 steel blue 330cic with the blue top the other day and the top looked great, much lighter than the BMW website depicts, but now I'm wondering if BMW changed the top color after that year.

congrats on the buy Dawn, when you get it you got to post some pictures

my two cents on the style changing issue: i loved the old style BMW's too, we are a total BMW family so i've seen them all and love the styling, the new cars have their good and bad qualities, i too hate some of the changes in the new cars but some of the changes are really cool, i think Bangle needs to have more restrictions put on him for more refinement and testing of designs of new models

Well, we're getting closer. I just checked the owners circle, and the 330 is finally built and now waiting for transport.

I might stop by the BMW dealer to sit in one after I drop off our MDX
for service down the street.

The waiting is very difficult.
