Well since finding the secret Ipod connector in our new car, I am wondering if it is all set up for blue tooth too. Does anyone know how to figure it out? Like where to look for any hardware??? Wouldn't that be sweet if it was!

^^ i don't think too many of us have the bluetooth connectivity in our cars.

one way to check is to see if you actually have a mic up by the headliners, where you have the sunroof controls. (if its not wired, you'll have just the grill w/ no mic.)

or try to have your bt phone look for a local device. if it pairs up, then you have BT! [:p]

Depends what you mean by "all set up"!! I think the car can accept the BMW bluetooth kit as it is prewired for phone. If you are wondering if the kit is already in there, the thing has a pairing button. A common place to mount it is under the armrest to the rear of the change holder.

I would guess that an 03 probably wouldn't have BT. Although I wasn't told, my assist module was probably BT too. When I looked through my owner's manual wallet, I found a BT card with a 4 digit passkey code that matched the code on a sticker on the module in the trunk. If you have this card with a code (not 0000), then you would probably have a BT module. You would probably still need a pairing button, but that can be easily installed under the center console as shown in other threads/links. The button doesn't even have to be mounted, since it's only used once to pair the phone.

I did a search (and read many very informative threads about BT and the Verizon V710) but couldn't find the answer, so let me ask a "dumb" question: Does the 2005 require the addition of a pairing button to activite a Bluetooth phone, or is it good to go from the factory (mine is an '05 325i with Premium Package/BMW Assist, 11/04 build)? The BMW USA website didn't do a very good job of explaining whether additional parts were necessary, and I know the 03's and 04's need a few extra parts for the BT phone to work.

Thanks!
