So I read some post previously in this forum about bluetooth support. What do I need to do to make sure it works when I pick up my new 2005 330Ci this week? What it to work with my bluetooth phone. I ordered it with the Premium Package and Navigation.

Just picked up my 2005 330Ci and YES! Indeed is it bluetooth supported as long as you got the Premium Package and have the Assist program installed with mic. Bluetooth is installed and ready to go. Works instantly with my bluetooth phone. Even imported my adress book.

The service manager gave me the simple documentation to pair my phone with my car as said that not all 2005's have it only those that were produced within in the last 2 months.

You're lucky you had success. If you were a Verizon customer it would be a different story. Verizon has disabled many "profiles" in regard to bluetooth. It is not a BMW issue, it is Verizon making you pay for a service to exchange information. Bluetooth hurts Verizon's bottom line. The Moto V710 does not work with BMW systems (yet and it is not a Motorola issue either). I am told they are working on it.

I am waiting for my 2005 330ci and then I will get a new phone and test it before I make the final purchase.

Verizon has disabled all of the bluetooth functions that made the phone worth buying. Problem is they don't tell you until agter you try to use them. They want you to pay for those services with air time which could be done via bluetooth. There is currently a lawsuit in California against Verizon over this issue and I suggest you join the class action suit to help force Verizon to knock off their sh1t.
