My wife and I took the level 1 course in Abbotsford, British Columbia at the end of August. I can't remember when I last had so much fun and I even learned some things at the same time. The course is offered on 330i's.

During the course you get the opportunity to push the cars, both with the systems (ABS and stability control) off and on while performing emergency stops, avoidance, understeer and oversteer.

Best of all you are driving on BMW Canada's cars and not your own. I can hardly wait until I take level 2 (highway speed)

Two days afer the course we picked up our new 330i, 6 speed, silver grey and my level of respect for BMW has gone through the roof.

I was going to register for the course outside of Halifax, but you had to use your own car, and I don't even have 3000k on it yet, and the thought of ripping those Dunlop 9000's off the rims before it was even broken in scared the hell outta me.

Maybe the courses in Ontario and Quebec next year will have loaner cars....

Nedd the course that is offered through BMW Canada includes the use of their cars. I could not emagine putting my 330i through all of the punishment. The course with taxes is about $500.00 Canadian (worth every dollar). The link is as follows:

www.bmw.ca/english/lifestyle/drivertr/into.html you can then go into the media section for additional pictures. I am car 16 on August 28, 2003 in Abbotsford.

The only downer was the slalom course. My wife beat me (ouch)
