I did take my 330cic to the dealer after I got the recall letter. My VIN was in the system already, as an affected car. It takes about 1.5-2 hours for them to do the recall, and it is of course free!!! So if you got the letter...take it in.

On a sad note.....I went to pick up my car this morning at the BMW dealer. When they brought my car to me, I performed my usual ritual....walking around the entire vehicle and then getting on my hands and knees to inspect for dings. Damn,,,,the front of my bumper had been either hit on a wall, or smacked into a black car. As I yelled at the service dept., I could tell by their sheepish behaviour that they knew about it, but tried to get away with it. Doesn't that just suck??? I left my car, and they are beginning the bumper repair. Wow...had my car less than 4 weeks, only have 400 miles on the odometer, the car has been in for service 4 times already, and then they screw up the bumper (and try and get away with it). That is what makes me the most mad. Accidents happen...just be honest. Trying to get away with damaging someone's new car is horrible.

Hope all of you have a Good Weekend!!! [xx(]

Which dealer was it so I don't go there!! [:(!]
Century West BMW in Universal City. Actually, the service advisor is great. He really listens, "seems" actually concerned and is helpful. I think maybe they are jusy too busy...and I'm sure I will be crucified for this one, but the majority of the mechanics that I tried dealing with do not speak English. The service advisor and I could not explain the problems to the "technical specialist", and had to try and find a translator. Sorry...that is just weird.
