I'll live with the brake dust since the feel and performance is so much better than anything else I've tried. I much prefer brake dust but absolute control and feel vs. almost no brakedust but the brakes controlled by a stupid hypersensitive computer on the mercedes.

BMW brakes produce a lot of brake dust because the brakes are vented. So the brakes let the heat, bruke dust, and road grime out and unfortunately, out basically means "to the wheels". It is perfectly normal and BMW's are known for this. Personally, I don't mind the whole brake dust issue...I just take a regular towel and wipe the wheels down every few days, in between car washes. Nothing like a clean set of wheels. [:D]

Are factory pads the best, as far as brake performance is concerned? I've noticed a lot of dust, too, but I just spray em off or wipe em down. There's nothing worse than seeing some soccer mom driving her nice car down the road with absolutely neglected, black front rims.
