Taking my car in for a transmission replacement I got one hell of POS loaner. A 2003 325i with 9750 miles on it. The thing was all scratched up, the engine vibrates and shakes when you turn it off and even on turns...

Besides that the climate controls gave me a very hard time being able to defog the windows especially the rear, the car smelled like sh*t in the back and if thats not enough the TRANSMISSION SLIPS on a cold startup.

Now here comes the worst part, when driving it the tire went flat which I payed to fix since I couldn't wait 2 1/2 hours for roadside assistance. And now the front tire seems to have lost a lot of air. Meaning they gave me a lemon turned loaner car with unsafe tires. And if thats not enough the spare in the trunk upon turning it over it appeared VISIBLY DEFORMED and defective, meaning I got a car with unsafe tires and no spare WTF! somethings very wrong at BMW of Manhattan.

I brought them a car interior in excellent condition, smelling like leather, no scratches outside, and I get this kind of service. It's enough that my car has a slipping tranny, but this on top of it and I have to pay for gas. I even put premium into it.

It even felt like something was wrong at the dealership (engine sound, turning noise, and tranny acting funny and sqeaking on backing up and going into d) one of the SA's told me the car had just went for inspection and had the oil changed and everythings fine. Funny thing is the OIl service Ind says 2300 something miles that it needs to be changed..

Now its sitting in my driveway with a front tire missing a lot of pressure and I'm really wondering if I should drive it in or have them tow it back since it is really an unsafe car.

Any ideas on what I should do to make sure this car gets taken where it belongs to a JUNKYARD![?|]

Wonder if that is the one built in South Africa. I've heard some people complaining a lot about the BMWs built there..many quality issues.

Well if they build a car and it's not acceptable to it's customers demands, they will use it as a loaner car. Why would they use a best-quality car as a loaner?

problem solved

epj, I didn't want their best quality I only wanted a decent loaner......

Anyhow, I had them tow the POS back to their dealership and let them hear it for their "excellent service". Anyhow I got my car back with a few surface scratches, and I'm never asking for another loaner again.

Thats exactly why I treated their Service manager and my SA with the Tender Loving Care they treated me with for over a half an hour...

* Oh and now I noticed the engine seems to be mounted incorrectly, shouldn't have let them do a trans job..... Wish you came along earlier man.

atleast you got a bimmer...i have had a nissan sentra, like 92 or something...POS!!! then the other day got a 03 toyota camry....drove maybe 10 miles and they had me pay 10 bucks for gas....bastards....then they tell you they fix whatever the problem...and its not fixed....in my experience all the dealers (not just BMW) are scammers and mother F__kers! AND when you aske them questions, the SA doesnt know sh_t! The secretary is completely unprofessional, complete ditz...bunch of highschool dropouts...even the mechanics. I dont think they care one bit or know anything about diagnosing problems...if the problem aint leaking all over their feet, then "its normal"!!!!!!!!!!

sorry i got a little carried away.

Any ideas on what I can do about the crooked engine, and the car feeling really slow???

Before and after pics, will they help?
You shouldn't have to "do" anything except bring it back and demand it be fixed right.

Maybe compare it to another 325i on the dealer lot? Put them next to each other with the hoods open and see for yourself......

Man...I would go there...start off nice....then get a little crazy if they treat you like an idiot....AND i remember when i bought my car, the dealership was scared sh_tless of the BMWNA customer satisfaction survey..."ALL 5's" is what they told me to say. Call BMWNA, if they give you the run around....PLUS they scratched your f__king car! That should also get fixed, no?
Everytime i read this thread, i have flashbacks!!!![mad] [headbang]

Alright I think you're just thinking it's crooked but if it were, it wouldnt run right!! There are things in the way, so there is absolutely no way the engine could be installed crooked.

I made a little diagram of what the engine is supposed to look like when it's installed in the car, it's always been like this.

The reason it shakes is becuase someone probably put too low octane gas in -- my car will idle and shut off completely smooth except for when I put in 87 octane. 89 fixes the issue.

It probably feels slow because it's been ran into the ground and has one of the bad tranny's.

No no no, MY car feels slow after the new tranny replacement and the engine I have pictures of it appears to be slightly tilted upwards........ Forget about the POS loaner I ended the discussion on that upon having it returned to them on a winch.....

And BTW before the repair, the engine was in the compartment straight..... I have a picture of it and I am comparing it to other cars.
