Hello,
I really need to get some winter wheels and tires. I have found a set of BMW specific steel wheels. They are 15x6 with a 5x120 bolt pattern.

I do know that my alloy wheels are 16x7 with a 5x120 BP.

Is there going to be a problem with using these steel wheels since the width size is not the same.

Any help is much appreciated

The tire width is not a problem, especially since your going smaller. What you need to do is check the offset. If not correct you'll need spacers to make them fit if it's possible. You then will most likely need a four wheel alignment done, unless you put enough rubber on the smaller wheels to make up for the difference in total wheel & tire diameter. [cheers]

how much are you spending on the combo? if you are getting it from a dealer, you maybe better off getting a set at a tireshop, like tirerack.com or tires.com the price should be pretty similar and you won't be rolling around in ugly doughnuts.

lpquick hit it on the head w/ the getting the right offset. otherwise, your ride will be funny to say the least. (not sure about the alignment part, lp, so you have to get one done every season? [scratch] but i really never looked into it, so i dont' really know.)
