Hello all,

I am in the market for a front bumper body kit but not well versed in the +'s/-'s of types of material. Can knowledgeable people please shed some light as to your preferences in terms of finished look, durablility, weight, etc. in Fiberglass kits vs. Polyurethane? THANKS!

Confused, but eager to buy asap,
TK

I'd really only consider polyurethane. Personal preference or course. The main reason is that poly is flexible. Resists damage more. Fiberglass doesn't bend really so if something hits your kit (whether your fault like while parking or somethign or by accident), you're liable to tear a big hole in it.

I agree completely with codex57. I have had many fiberglass kits and all have had durability problems. Even rock chips can be very bad in fiberglass. I would go with the polyurethane type kits if that is what you are looking for. There are some carbon fiber kits too that are very good.
