Hi Guys! Remember I posted earlier about my steering wheel jerks one time when I step on the brakes pretty fast and is normal at other times? It's not the alignment, it's not the tire pressure, it's not the brake piston failure, it's not a bubble in the brake line, it's not even the control arm bushing (well, not just the bushing) It's....a combination of

1) the brake rotors and pads
2)the control arm bushing
3) a rubber linkage in the steering column

Apparently there is a SIB - some sort of bulletin for some 2001 3 series that covers all these parts even if you're out of the maintenance warranty - like me!! (brake pads and rotors are usually not covered as far as I know). So go jab - tap your brakes - maybe you can get free rotors and pads replaced too!

Oh it's SIB 34-04-01
