I have a 2001 BMW 330i and I need to get some new brake pads for the front. The dealership wants something like $80 for the front set.

Does anyone have any suggestions for brands of brake pads to use an alternative? I'd hate to spend $80 if I could get something for less that would perform equally well.

Thanks for your help

Dag.. You can get good pads for about $50-$60, OEM and even aftermarket. Shop around some online. I'd stick to OEM, or Brembo's 'OEM' brand for our cars. There are tons of aftermarket alternatives, depends on what you need, those will run a little more. $80, that's stealership prices.. [:(]

[thumb] What's up Tarheel, for the front pads might I suggest Axxis, they make a dustless front pad that's sweet. I'm currently running Axxis on the front and they don't cost $80.00 bucks. I do my own brakes the stealership is ripping you off. Any parts site is going to charge you between $20.00 & $40.00 a set of pads. I can buy rotors for less than $80.00 dollars. Just my two and a half cents. Happy Motoring...
