Hi Guys
I recently bought a 2002 325i, its in great condition but i have few questions

1. I need to change tires, can anyone suggest some good tires
I dont want to spend a lot

2. I have driven a corolla before and the steering for my bmw seems harder.
Is is the bad tires ?

3. also I need to know when the brake sensor light comes on, does it indicate my brakes need to be changed

4. What are the things i need to look for my 60k service?

Welcome to the board. Many a good tire out there, I like Toyo Proxes, Michelin Sports, Kuhmos and many more. The least expensive of the ones mentioned will be the Kuhmos. Look at Discount Tire and Tire Rack as well as Les Schwab. Tires could be your steering concerns, but I am not sure what "harder" means exactly. If your brake pad sensor is on you need pads and could need rotors as well.

The Generals are a very very good low cost tire as well. I agree with Dan, you may or may not need rotors, but the pads would need to be checked and replaced as needed. Don't wait too long with the sensor warning being on.....

Get used to it, the BMW has tighter steering. I drove an 07' Avalon rental and I could steer with my pinky finger, trying that on my 330 was downright painful afterwards. Within a day I adjusted to the better handling, tight steering, BMW. IMO, Toyota's soft geriatric steering is disconnected and dangerous.

Enjoy the BMW. If you want good tires, go with the Michelin Pilot Exaltos, excellent all weather tire. The tires are the one place you don't wanna get cheap, come on it's a BMW (it might be 5yrs old and have 60k on it and have been poorly maintained considering it needs tires and brakes in condition of sale) but still treat the car right, and it will treat you right in return, put premium in it too. The car doesn't run on 89 or 87. [;)]

Good thing he did tell you.I think its a good idea that a second hand vehicle needs a new quality parts like BMW brakes. This is to ensure you safety while driving aside from the discounted tires which also I think a good move for you.
