EDIT: oh... i know what you're talkin about... the DRIVER'S SIDE HIGH BEAM.... well... i guess it can't hurt, but i doubt it does anything to improve airflow to the box unless u have a duct going directly to it

some guys have done a setup where they install a cone filter & remove the highbeam, then install some ducting going from the bulb opening directly to the enclosed cone, but i doubt it'll give u much gains... (ie, you MIGHT see 1 rwhp [confused] ) the reason why u won't see much gains on a stock motor is because the airbox isn't where the bottleneck is... it's alot more than just that (specifically the Air Flow Meter)

i'd much rather have both my high beams than sacrifice one for MAYBE 1hp at the wheels [8]

I've seen this done on highly modified cars used almost exclusively on the track or show only cars. I don't believe it is worthwhile to exchange safety for such a miniscule hp increase.
