I broke a couple of plastic clips on the right inside of my bumper ...Does anyone have any experience with this sort DIY repair? DO I need to remove the entire bumper? THe autobody shop wants $225 for labor...and the parts cost 40 bucks.

ANy suggestions would be great!!! Do you need a pic? I can post tonight.

Yes, you can do it yourself. I bought a plastic welding kit several months ago and have used it to repair several items. It REALLY WORKS WELL!! It almost comes across as a "gimmick" tool, but it is not. All of my repairs were hard plastic, I have not tried bumpers, etc. but they do include instructions exactly for that, and specific instructions for tabs.

I don't work for this company, I just think they make great products AND explain how to use them. My only advice is that this is "craftsmanship" type of work. If you are comfortable doing woodworking, building models, or stuff along that line, you'll be OK. If you are all thumbs, you are better off letting someone else do it.

Read pages 10 and 11. This describes exactly how to fix bumper bolt holes and tabs.
