CA delaying my car pickup

Hi guys,

I am having a problem with my car pickup and I believe that my CA is delaying it for some unknown reason. I was supposed to pick up my car on Saturday and my CA called me early in the morning telling me that there's a match issue with insurance, contract and credit address for which he needs to wait till Monday to talk to some people at BMW Financial Services. This morning he called me telling me that everything is OK and when would I like to pick it up. I told him tomorrow, and since he's on training tomorrow, he will call me back with person who I will be dealing with for pickup. He didn't call me all day, and when I called dealership, he was gone for the day. I have a feeling that he's delaying my car pickup.

What do you guys think might be behind this? Did anyone had a similar experience? Should I go and talk to the dealership manager? Can I go and pick up a car even thou he will not be there?

Thank you.

I would go talk to the manager or call BMW FS. The only problem I had was that I had to send BMW FS a letter that I would not use any more BMW credit other than the car I purchased and I agreed to reapply again should I purchase another car from them. They approved 90,000.00 and did not want me to buy 2 cars without a second approval process. So if you had an online approval from BMW FS and then went to the dealer and they did not handle the process correctly, there will be a delay. Otherwise it should be a straightforward transaction.

Time for that Z8 !!! [clap]

Yea, sure it is...there is no way. I cant even imagine a 1200.00-1400.00 lease payment [ohcrap] I would need to make like 200.00/hour before I would do that. Now if I did not have 2 kids in a leaning daycare program I could do it and have some cash left over but I would never trade lifestyles.

The dealer did a search for me on financing. I already had an offer of a 3.9% rate from the credit union but he said he could do better. He got me a 3.35% rate for a 60 mo term on a purchase thru BMW Bank of North America which turned out to be Bank of America. I did this all in January 2004.
