Cam Shaft Sensor Replacement

Hi all,

I have a P0340 error code. The CAM shaft sensor A is malfunctioning. I have a new sensor. The problem is that I don't have a Bentley manual (is it on order) to show me the location of the connector (I found the sensor location on the front of the engine.) But the connector is hidden somewhere. Could someone either explain how to get to it or the pages of the Bentley that explain how to do it?

Here is what I found that really helped....

There was a couple of other websites that had directions with pictures also. They said it would take 1 hour to complete.... well I did it in 35 minutes....

Although when I started the car it ran really rough... I thought.. "hey must be a vacuum line off" .... then I remembered about the one little itty bitty vacuum line I didn't put back on. Put it back on and it runs great....
