Theres a neat little 1986 Jaguar XJS on sale for $1500 at the local used car dealer, which I think is a swell deal. Problem is I don't have the means to own two cars. So I'm going to have to make a choice between my 1990 BMW 325is or the Jag.... and... I CAN'T DECIDE!!!! [?|]

A little help here guys?
(I know this is a BMW forum, but any unbiased suggestions would help [|)]... ) [:p]

Trust me on this one, the Brits cannot build cars! I mean yea they look cool, and have nice luxurious interiors. But have you ever heard anyone praising British Engineering? German Engineering is where it's at![hihi]

Oh yea and $1500 for a Jag, I bet that car has tons of issues, just the salesman won't tell you.

An XJS - I'm guessing that it's got the V-12 in it. The Jag V-12s are ridiculous as far as maintenance is concerned. They require constant valve adjustments which is extremely labor intensive as you have to rip pretty much the entire top end of the engine apart to do the job. Also, they are notorious for catching on fire - the distributor cap is in the center of the engine between the cylinder banks (lifter valley on a small block chevy), and the fuel injection rails right there are plastic or rubber (can't remember). This weak spot in the fuel system has a tendency to leak and gas drips onto the distributor - you can imagine what ensues. I'd stick with the Bimmer.
