i'm flying to boston for a week in april and i would like to have a car cover on my car the entire time while i'm away.

i've heard there's some that can actually damage the car. [80?]

can anyone recommend one?

Most car covers leave no air through so your paint will damage (after more than 1-2 days). Only a couple (expensive) covers will work. This is what my dealer told me. He couldn't even get me a good one. I would say (but you prolly thought this through and decided not to....) try to park it somewhere inside.

of course i would like to park it in doors, but the garage is off limits. (too much stuff and roommates)

sounds like i may just have to let it sit in the driveway and hope nothing happends.

Wolf Noah covers are breathable covers and will not damage the paint in that time frame.....there not cheap but good I have one for both my cars

great, i got one picked out, but now i have another concern.

my coworker was saying that car covers collect dust and other particles and can actually scratch the paint each time it is taken on and off.

any thoughts?

One thing I do is use car service, or a taxi, so my car stays at home.

Car service was about $70 each way, and the taxi was $40 each way.

Will a car cover cause some minor swirls in the paint yes!, but taking care of how you put it on and take it off the car will reduce this to nothing...another thing to remember is keeping it clean.. I take mine twice a year to the Dry Cleaners for cleaning they come back looking new...how they fold those things is beyond me. The benefits of protection from the weather will out weight any swirls that they might create.
