What is it doing?

I remember a note in a BMW FS lease statement a while back stating that all comfort and convenience equipment should be turned off before you turn off the car. In other words, just make sure the A/C, fan and radio are all off when not driving.

This sounds ridiculous (no offense to you Bryan). There should be no "special instructions" on how to drive a BMW. You can leave that stuff on in my $15K Corolla, why not my $45K BMW?

All late model cars disengage the A/C, fan and radio when starting the car to provide maximum power to the starter.

This is just plain silly.

I agree, it is ridiculous. I take it as BMW’s way of saying that they have not fully resolved the battery draining issue in some cars.
