Where is your evidence that the clutch pack causes engine damage?

What is the fix in the new tranny to make it work better than the slipping one?

Where are your claims supported that BMW knew about this issue in June2003?

you NEVER answer questions yet you have the Gall to question others.

It is obvious to all that you do not answer these questions because you are a liar and have no factual basis for any of your claims..... [wave]

Duud, you make no sense. The BMW documents state replace the transmission. Why do you ask others to prove you wrong?

Demand BMW give you a document to prove you are correct. You argue a losing battle.

People on here could pretend to work for BMW or claim they can fly. Demand a confirmation from BMW for others to take you seriously.

toby_72,

I never said that the TSB does not say to replace the tranny... My statement says to prove that the clutch pack causes engine damage as car_54 claims. I have not seen a TSB from BMW that says that the Clutch Pack replacement causes engine damage.... Have you?

Shouldn't people arguing against BMW need to provide evidence also to support THEIR claims that are not on paper or released from BMW?

I smell some serious abuse of BMWboard going on..

Mr Toby, you have 4 posts. All tied around the 'sliptronic' posts. You sure do seem to have the same ideas and 'knowledge' Car_54 likes to share. And pick up right where he left off.

You'd be better off just arguing with yourself instead of coming with alter alter-egos to argue with other folks in an internet forum. [thumbd] [slap]

This "proves" that he's correct:

"Okay - My dealer despite my insistence in providing a replacement tranny as outlined in the TSB, applied the repair kit to the transmission, which I was told could only be done by a certain BMW technician and not the BMW center itself. The fix, so far, has seemed to work okay. I've only had the car back for about 4 days, but I cannot notice the original problem. Seems odd to me that the 2/04 TSB doesn't mention the repair kit as an option to fix the isssue. What's up with BMW and their inability to consistently apply their standards throughout the BMW network. I would expect more from a luxury brand!"
