Today I see more and more e46 owners, who are interested in modification, going towards the M3 style. One of the first mods is the front bumper. Along with the possible M3 transformation, car enthusiasts love carbon fiber. Period.

I would like to see if there is a potential market for a carbon fiber M3 front bumper with a molded lip for any e46 3-series models. This type of modification is very rare and extremely respectable.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Cuz some insurance companies won't cover a mod like that.

But that's besides the point. It's pretty fragile so at most, i'd just want a partial lip made of the stuff. That way, a minor little bump won't result in an insurance claim that may jack up your rates. Same reason why you'd prefer poly to fiberglass.

A carbon fiber hood, trunk, or roof would be a great idea if you can get the price right. Those don't get hit very often so the benefits of carbon fiber can outweigh it's negatives. Bumpers are another matter tho.
