Hi all... I have a 1998 318i BMW sedan. I am having problems with the central locking system.
1. With all the doors and truck unlocked; if the remote is used to lock the doors the following happens:
Drivers side front - does not lock (DNL)
Passenger side front - DNL
Drivers side rear - Locks
Passenger side rear - Locks
Trunk - Locks

2. With all the doors and truck locked; if the remote is used to unlock the doors the following happens:
Drivers side front - does not unlock (DNU)
Passenger side front - DNU
Drivers side rear - unlocks
Passenger side rear - unlocks
Trunk - unlocks

3. With all the doors locked or unlocked; if the key is use in the drivers side or passengers side lock then the door that the key is used in and the rear doors and truck will lock or unlock.

4. With the button on the center console, it is intermittent on which doors do what. Sometimes the passenger locks and unlock with it and sometimes it doesn't.

Causes:
1. I am thinking either wiring to each of the front doors. The rear doors react properly with the front doors operations. Not how do I check this out! There is a big a$$ connector on the front of the door in the hinge area. Is there any impedance and or voltages I can read there? (I have a Bentley manual on order).

2. Other???

Thanks for the help!
