The area at the top of the rear window is the only place that looks "bad". But from what I know, that area is impossible to get film to lay down flat on our cars. The black bumps there are thicker than anywhere else and the film just won't lay down perfectly there without modifying the black bumps.

A possible alternative is having your installer cut off the film where the bumps start.

BTW mine looks a lot like yours.

First of all, Thank you guys for quick feed back.

bmwrocks, is your lower back window wont stick good also, like mine on the pic? I want them to try to get it alot better.
I think he did a good job on the top where all dot matrix are, but he said after all the water came out, he will try to get it better some more.

Anyone else have any opinions. I haven't see any other bmw tinting yet around here so I need everyone help as much as possible. Thank you again.

My lower back also is not perfect, but the line where it doesn't stick is much narrower than yours.
That's what I'm hoping make it lot narrower at the lower back window. I think the top where all the dot matrix are. Actually came out not bad. I went back yesterday and he said come back this Sat. when all the water is out then they can try to make it better. So I will see. Thanks

well you probably got a lifetime warranty , so try your bargaining skills and tell them you didn't put it there. There is no way to repair scratches in tint to my knowledge . BTW my tint looked alot better the second time i took it in.

don't judge the tint job till it's had enough time to dry or cure - give it a good week.

my tint is pretty much flawless but I want to go darker - I just picked up the car and it looks like it had California legal on it. Out here in AZ dark black limo tint makes a big difference in the summers. But I'm hesitant to scrape off a perfectly good tint job and risk trouble with the little black bumps...

Yeah, mine looked like yours. Then, when I came back a week later, my installer got out pretty much all the bad areas. I'd talk to them about that scratch tho. But don't judge the installation until after they touch it up.

I don't like how they cut the film on the rear window. I'm thinking of having mine done this summer...I think I'd be pissed if there are gaps like that. Can't they take the film to the far edges?

the gaps you see lower bottom window are the dot matrix i'm trying to get my installer to get it alot narrower if possible. Tomorrow is a week and he want me to come back to see him. The scratch is outside driver window. I see if they can buff it out. I paid $150 total for the tint job. what you guys think?
