I have a 2002 330Ci that I picked up last February. Now granted, I live in DC and the roads are horrible here. But, my steering wheel is chronically off to the left. Could this be a sign of something larger wrong in the suspension? The car is going in for the 4th time for them to take a look and I was hoping to have something to shoot back at the dealership when they say it needs another alignment.

Also, who can I trust to do a decent alignment on the car without blatently overcharging like the dealership?

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

[thumb] Sorry to hear about our alignment difficulties... I live just across to state line in southern Maryland but I work at the Pentagon, therefore I share your woes with the DC roads. I get my alignments done at Mr. Tire, its a local tire service company that uses BMW specs to properly align your car. I personally faxed the Mr. Tire BMW alignment specs to the local BMW stealership and they were impressed by the alignment specs. Mr. Tire charges about $69.00 for a four wheel alignment. Working in DC I get alignments every fifteen thousand miles, this may sound like a long time between alignments, however I drive more miles than most... I just creasted 180,000 miles along with the required Schedule II. Happy Mororing...
