Climate Control

I've lost the ability to control fan speed on my climate control. The fan buttons still work, and it displays the level increase; but the fan itself does not change. And, when it is in auto mode, it varies the level a lot (more than it would normally to keep the car a constant temp.) I can still control the temperature, and the floor/dash/windshield settings.

Anyone ever see anything like this before? Anyone know if there is a simple fix without going to the dealership where they'll just tell me to replace the whole unit?

Doesn't sound good. Try one last shot at messing with all
the buttons for a few minutes, and if that fails, put your hands
up, and prepare to get robbed at the dealer.

Mine did a variation of the same trick last autumn... but the fan didn't work at all. The increment bars would display, but the fan simply wouldn't work. After driving around to a couple of places (weekend errand run) it suddenly worked again and has been fine since. Here's to hoping it corrects itself!
