Hello all,

Posted this in the newbiw thread but I thought maybe it would be better here.

I'm considering the 2004 325ci and was wondering what bmw delerships are like when it comes to haggling over price. Not planning on adding many options so I'm looking at an MSRP of around $31,700, what is realistically going to be the lowest they would go to?

As for the car, I'm pretty sure it will be stunning, I'm thinking metallic black with black leatherette interior. I'll be trading in my 2001 mustang, so i expect the difference in quality will be noticeable.. but will I notice a difference in speed?

thanks for any replies.

If your Mustang is a V8 then you will notice a lot of speed lost in a straight line. But the difference in smoothness will astound you. As will cornering and overall feel (BMW is tight as a drum in all respects).

As for haggling over price, that varies with dealer and supply and demand. If they have some on the lot and you buy one of those, you will have room to work. However if you order, you will have less room. You can also ask for dealer installed options to get a bit more out of them (floor mats, CD Changer, security alarm, transceiver, cell phone).

Your combo sounds beautiful. Nothing like the look of a mirror shiny black BMW in the TX sun.....
