I recently discovered that my radio antenna was stolen off my car. I've priced it out at about $30 on BavAuto.com. However, before I order a new one (or steal one from a car at the BMW dealer) [joke] , I wanted to see if anyone has come across any good (possibly smaller) alternatives.

I think one of the cooler ones is the Honda S2000 antenna. It's thicker and shorter than the standard BMW whip antenna and fits on the same threads. I got one for my Passat just after having it lowered and getting my 17"s, then when I decided to get rid of the VW, I kept the antenna. I haven't installed it on my B'mer yet... partially because I don't want the curse of my old car to infect my new one (my VW had lots of trouble). I should probably stop being weird and just do it. I do like the lower-profile look better.

TheBry,
I found an S2000 antenna online for less than $20 new. As far as you can tell, does it look like the base of the antenna would blend nicely with the "stump" that is on our trunks? In other words when the S2000 antenna is screwed in, would it overhang the receiving base on the trunk?

Just tried it this morning (and may keep it that way)... it does overhang very slightly... barely noticeable... just a millimeter or so.
