Cure for Squeaky Brakes?

I've only had my 330CIc for six weeks and the front brakes are already squeaking like crazy when I come to a stop. It's a little embarrassing at times because it's such a piercing squeal.

Anyone run into this and have suggestions for toning it down?

sounds like a problem i had...its one of two things...either you need new brake pads...or (this is what happened to me) a bolt came loose giving extrememly high pitched noises when stopping and turning, the way that we found out a bolt was loose was we had to take it to the BMW center and they had to check it because it was a really really annoying noise

Yeah, new brakes take alittle while to break-in. But the sound goes away and should be there at first...not something that should develop. Sounds like something is wrong.

Do e46 brakes have the same spring clips the e30's have? If so, I can tell you that those clips being CLEAN and in as tight as possible make a huge difference.

The stock pads might just be very dusty, which brake dust causes squealing like you wouldnt believe.
