Hi

My 330xi status is currently waiting for production, ahh almost built can't wait..

However , I wonder would the tranny be absolutely a good one (by now) or might it have a bad stock sliptronic in it

I can't figure from the threds, seems the last build date i've found are jan /feb but would a 3/27 still be flakey??

thanks

From what we understand, the problem appears to have finally been corrected in terms of the proper fix in the replacement trannys in December of 2003 or thereabouts. This would imply that BMW fully understood the problem in or around that timeframe. The cars that have been sold recently off the lot which do have the defect (from feedback on this board) appear to have build dates back in 2003. Is BMW still building cars with the defective tranny? I wish I could tell you definitely not. One would hope not. All we can say is that the evidence from others on this board seems to indicate that the problem appears to have been corrected in the replacement trannys as of 12/03.
