The only time you gain anything worthwhile is if you also invest in headers. Then you might see 6-10hp at the high end of your rpm range if you change out everything else as well with a setup from a company like Supersprint. Otherwise all you get is more noise which is what some want for whatever reason. If you have a highly modified engine then it is a different story, you need the improved exhaust flow to realize the full potential of the mods. On a relatively stock engine all you've done is spend a lot of money for more noise and hopefully it does not sound like a weedwacker. A poorly executed exhaust can reduce power. If you have to replace anyway due to wear etc, use good quality reputable parts. A Conforti/Turner Motorsport chip will cost $199 for the 1.8L engine and yield an added 12 hp at 5000 rpm and a 16 ft lb torque increase at a slightly lower rpm.
