I hada quick trawl through this forum and some of you guys seem to have had the same problems as myself.
2001 318i e46 101K miles
Prob 1
The Engine light has come on and the BMW garage has performed the following changes
O2 Sensor
Engine Air Pipes inspection
but to no avail. The light still comes on and engine stutters when I stop at lights etc. This car is out of warranty and I am down now about £800 without an answer. The BMW garage does not seem to have a clue and appart from willing to put a new engine in they are useless.
Prob 2
I though this may have been related to the problem above. The coolant like kept coming on and so i replaced the coolant expansion, which was cracked. I topped her up and after 3 weeks the lights on again. There is no sign of a leak in my drive ?
Anyone any ideas on these problems or heard of how to resolve them ?
