Hi Everyone! You might remember my issue from earlier. Thought I had it fixed but... Remember my steering jerks when I jumped on the brakes(jerks just one time)? The dealer had replaced the control arms and bushings, the front rotors and new brakes and a steering linkage. The problem got much better for 2 weeks and now it's back! They had the BMW specialist look at it and he thought it was a glazed rotor. The deglazed the rotors and it is still the same.
NOW they want to replace the REAR rotors and brake pads and said because I have one tire that is not matching wants me to replace that tire (which is also in the back). He also let me know that I must use OEM rotors and pads or else my basic warranty won't cover this steering/brake issue. I have replaced the rear pads about 1 month ago with PBR metalmasters and I know the rear rotors are wearing thin, but can that cause the steering to jerk? ( they're claiming the hydraulics can transmit the motion.)
