Dealer fixed my HK Sub Rattle

If you guys are experiencing some rattling with the rear subwoofer on the HK system. You can request the dealer take out the rear deck lid and install some insulation. In the past they try to remedy this by using a cheap plastic strap which was completely useless.

I had the new insulation installed on mine and it sounds 10 times better.

Thanks Tom, thats great info. I know my new 325i subs will start rattling eventually. On my previous 2001 325ci, I had the same problem. I fixed by slipping a two pennies in the thin slot between the rear deck and the lid -- It tightened the gap thereby depleting the vibration -- Its ghetto but it worked.

This time if it happens I will take it to the dealer and get the insulation installed.

I just had the dealer put insulation in for mine, sounds great now! JT you should take your getto fix off and have them do it the right way

Well in my previous 325ci I didnt know about the insulation. On my current 325, I haven't had a problem with the subs yet...so no ghetto retro just yet. But, if these subs start rattle too, then I will definitely take it to the center....
