Yep, that's the risk you take with any CAI.
Any "wet" filter will carry a danger of spraying oil on the MAF sensor, most likely if oiled too much. As for the less filtration, that's a trade off - you must flow more air, hence the filter must allow more flow. OEM filters better at the expense of flow, but honestly the difference is negligible.
Also, any filter must be serviced at some point. OEM filters are thrown away (you can also do that to K&N), but it's cheaper to service an aftermarket one.
My concern is the design of the intake itself, the position of the filter. It makes service a major PITA. I also don't like how low to the ground it sits. The filter tends to collect a lot of dirt and may suck in water - very bad.
