I was checking some of the mods for my e30 and the Dinan Intake Manifold sounds pretty nice. its supposed to put out around 194-hp. Sounds like a lot, but was wondering if anyone has every installed one and if it's worth it. Also, does the 194-hp include other mods like intake or exhaust?

what's your source man...your car has around 165 HP stock. a 30 HP jump is rather large. dinan is expensive, so i've never used any of their products. i know a high performance camshaft can give you an even bigger boost than 30 HP, so i won't say it's BS, but it sounds like that 194 may be including some other mods. give us a source, please.

You prolly need to convert to a MAF with a new throttle plate, bore the throttle body, intake, I think thats puts you in the 190 mark. Thats my best guess anyways.

I just checked out their website. They wordsmith the brocure pretty carefully. They make it look like it is only the intake but it is the chip, exhaust and intake together that supposedly gets you that much horsepower. They claim 41 hp at 6500 RPM and 28 hp at 5500 over stock. If you look at the numbers you see they keep getting bigger as you progress through chip, exhaust and intake. I think you'd be much better off with a JC chip, an Ireland Engineering intake (done by the same people Dinan takes theirs to), forget the exhaust and put the extra $1200 towards a suspension.
