Ding!!

I usually cover my car (I live in a high rise in NYC with a garage) but after a week of rain and a layer of dirt, I thought it best to wait until I washed it before covering it again. Well the night of the blackout came and some SCHMUCK (The owner of the JEEP SUV next to me or the attendant) decided to pull the car out in the dark.

To me, what happened is pretty clear: The small scratches on my passenger side door were caused by the rivets on this idiots jeans as he attempted to squeeze between my car and his.
This does not really bother me as they are not deep and can be easily "rubbed out".

However, they also decided to open their door (in total darkness) without any regard for my door, thus giving me my first DING! (After 5 months)

Any ideas on getting rid of it?
Is it worth it?
Or should I just live with it?

By the way, My car is Jet Black.

If the paint isn't scratched then hire a paintless dent repair professional. I used them for a small door ding and it turned out flawless. I recommend hiring a mobile service since they are cheaper and can come to you.

You can check out www.dentpro.com to see how it works. However, they are more expensive than a mobile service.

yeah, if it's small, your best bet is just paintless dent removal. It's fairly cheap and pretty quick. I'm still living in fear of my first door ding. I just started taking some night classes and even though I park way the hell out there, people still need to park next to me for some reason.

A little off the subject:

I got a small ding on top of my trunk after getting it back from my BMW shop. I know it was not there before I droped it off. Because I have just installed a lip spoiler a few hours before I left it with them, and I would have noticed it then. I was very upset and considered it my lost. Because I thought to myself how could I prove it. Anyway I gave them a call to inform them about it, and they will fix it no charge.

Now that's what I call customer service. Way to go BMW Northwest of Seattle! You just earned a customer for life.

I have been there and one salesman was a rude as could be (service dept. could be different. I haven't used them for that yet). Maybe I should give them an other chance. Bellevue BMW is as bad, but they are not something to write home about. Their parts dept. customer service is very good though.
