Letting the clutch out fast (dropping) shouldn't slip the clutch. Slipping is what wears a clutch most. Say taking off in 5th gear from a standstill, that will wear a clutch disc pretty bad. Blueing the pressure plate and flywheel is also bad and will cause slipping. It reads more like you heated up the flywheel & pressure plate. Some people call it a shine. You shined the pressure plate, now your hosed. A resurface will fix this, not sure how long regular driving will take to wear off the shine or glazing. High horsepower heavy cars, like 454 Chevelle's could toast a stock clutch fairly easy. If you heated the clutch up in your car, you had to be slipping it really bad. If the gas peddle is to the floor, clutch peddle is up and the tires aren't spinning but the engine is revved up pretty good. I'd say the clutch is slipping...
