Will the sliptronic symptons appear regardless of outside temp? I have a new 325 and live in Texas, and suspect that the symptons won't appear unless its really cold outside. Is this the case? (Cause if so I won't know if I'm affected or not for awhile!!!!)

Thanks!!!

Temps are in the 80's here and mine slips on first engagement every time. 50, 60, 70, 80....mine doesn't seem to care. I can't speak very well for under 40 because I live in Central Florida.

The only way temperature has an effect is that if it's cold outside, the car cools down faster (after driving it). Therefore, the issue probably occurs more often when starting in the cold weather, as the car will most likely be very cold, which is when the slippy slip occurs. Somebody correct me if I am wrong here.

I had the slipping on mine regardless of temp, but it slipped longer when the temps were in the teens than it did when they were in the 40's. I'd guess 10-15 seconds in the teens and 5-10 seconds in the 40's. But I'm confident that if you have a tranny with the problem, you'll notice it regardless of climate. It was unmistakeable on my car. You step on the gas, and the engine revs, but the car doesn't move. If you've ever had a manual transmission with a badly slipping clutch, you'll know the feeling. I had a clutch go out on one of my motorcycles once that felt very similar.
