Door stripping

Hey all I have brought this problem up in the past but the door stripping interior keeps falling down/off despite all of my attempts to stick it back up. Falls every time the season changes down here. I view this as a defect with the car and think the dealer should fix it even though the car is now out of warrantee. I know lots of other people have had this problem, but was wondering how successful people have been getting the dealership to fix it for free.

I had mine replaced under warranty about 3 months ago. At that time I expressed concern to them that this is only going to happen again. They agreed and said that they will warrant the replacement for two years regardless of vehicle warranty status. I don't know if it is the dealer providing that warranty or BMW though.

So I look at it as even if it doesn't fall off by itself within 2 years of the last replacement, I will be unethically pulling it off and letting them replace it.

Hopefully you had yours replaced less than 2 years ago and you get the same treatment I got.

I had to replace my passenger interior door rubber/velvet trim, and
then 3 months later had to replace the driver door trim.

Both under warranty, and the dealer said "the new glue is different"
but I don't really believe him.

Also had to have the sunroof shade repaired 4 times...

The car only has 10,000 miles and is garaged...

I had mine replaced the first time with no hassle (out of warranty). The second time
the dealer went to BMW rep and got approval for no charge replacement. I hope you have a dealer as "customer service" minded as me. Good luck. Don't Panic-Bill
