Driver's Seat Issue

Here is a question for the convertible drivers. I have a 2002 330CiC with about 8000 miles. When turning, right or left, I hear a noticeable “clunk” which appears to be coming from the back of the driver’s seat as if one object is hitting another. I can feel the impact of the objects hitting through the seat. The dealer was clueless and I have chosen to live with it at least for the time being. What mechanism is embedded in the structure of the seat? Could the integrated seat belt be the source of the problem? Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, was the dealer able to remedy it for you. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have problems but thank goodness not that problem........One of my rattles that has been there since I got the car was now blamed on a styrofoam cooler in the back seat......I said, guys, I just put that there this morning to deliver some goods......sheesh..........

The dealership should be able to pop off the back of the seat with no problem and look for the problem.......I wouldnt do it yourself in case you tear or scratch the leather.....

Good luck!!
